Resin for cation exchange processing of strong acid solutions Ecosoft Ecolite Soft is a highly effective gel resin in the form of sodium, intended for effective reduction of water hardness in both residential and commercial systems. Spherical granules provide excellent hydraulic properties, uniform flow distribution and effective regeneration.
Ecolite Soft is chemically, physically and thermally stable, providing stable water softening and a long service life. It effectively removes calcium and magnesium ions from water, preventing the formation of calcareous scale and protecting water pipes and household appliances. The resin is easily regenerated by standard NaCl solution and maintains reliable operation in a wide range of conditions.

Can Ecolite Soft be used to remove iron?
First of all, it is intended for removing stiffness. For water with high iron content, it is recommended to use the specialized mixed filter solution ECOMIX®.
Is pre-filtration necessary?
Yes. It is recommended to install a preliminary sediment filter (20-100 μm) before the softener to prevent clogging and extend the life of the resin.
What is the working ion exchange capacity of Ecolite Soft?
A typical working ion exchange capacity is approximately 1 g-eqv./l, which corresponds to approximately 50 g CaCO₃/l of resin under standard operating conditions.
How to find out the volume capacity of Ecolite Soft in my system?
For example, if you pour 100 liters of Ecolite Soft into the water softener Ecosoft 14×65, and the hardness of the incoming water is 200 ppm CaCO₃, the volume of purified water before regeneration will be 25 m³.
