Polyethylene tube – LLDPE tubing 1/4″ OD x 0.17″ ID – 500ft
John Guest LLDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene Pipe) is suitable for a wide temperature and pressure range, has a wide chemical compatibility and is made from non-polluting materials. It is compatible with pneumatics with a maximum pressure of 10 bar at 20°C. At elevated temperatures (50°C), the mineral oil used in some systems will damage LLDPE pipes. Therefore, LLDPE pipes used in pneumatic circuits must be periodically inspected and replaced if necessary.
Chemical resistance
For use of LLDPE with chemicals or potentially aggressive liquids, please contact our Technical Service Department. When using cleaning agents or other potentially aggressive liquids, please ensure compatibility with pipes and fittings. LLDPE is not recommended for mineral oils, gases and fuels or high pressure compressed air/pneumatic systems.
Exposure to ultraviolet light
If biofilm growth is considered a problem, only black tubing should be installed in areas exposed to any light. The black tube is also UV stabilized and can be installed in areas exposed to direct sunlight (UV).
