The 12-litre ion-exchange resin capacity makes this model suitable for households requiring greater softening capacity than the smaller R2D2-32 version.

How Does It Work?
The system contains 12 litres of ion-exchange resin that replaces calcium and magnesium ions responsible for water hardness with sodium ions.
Once the resin’s exchange capacity is depleted, the automatic control valve initiates a regeneration cycle using a salt solution.
At an inlet hardness of 250 mg/L as CaCO₃, the system provides approximately 2,100 litres of softened water per regeneration cycle.

Installation and Maintenance
Installation requires a cold-water connection, a suitable wastewater drain and an electrical power supply.
A mechanical sediment prefilter is recommended to protect the control valve and resin bed.
The brine tank should be refilled regularly with regeneration salt suitable for water softeners.
