The J. SHMIDT A500 features a microfiltration membrane cartridge with a porosity of 100 nm (800 times smaller than a human hair). It not only removes chlorine, heavy metals (contains aqualene), and other harmful substances from water, but also completely removes bacteria* and parasites (*removes E. coli 1257, Enterobacter cloacae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa). The inner surface of the microfiltration membrane is comparable to an infinitely small sieve, containing billions of pores measuring 0.05-0.1 microns. Pressure is required to force water through these pores. The J.SHMIDT A500’s microprocessor-controlled water filtration system activates a micropump, increasing pressure and automatically releasing it at the end of the next cleaning cycle.

Reliable bacteria protection – boiling effect

Bacterial protection in the J.SHMIDT 500 system is provided by a microfiltration hollow fiber membrane – a fine “sieve” with billions of pores measuring 0.05-0.1 microns. This size is 800 times smaller than a human hair and much smaller than bacteria or intestinal parasites. The membrane’s pores also block pollen, making the water safe for children, people with allergies, and the elderly. Boiling filtered water is no longer necessary.

Microprocessor Control

The J.SHMIDT 500 combines several types of purification simultaneously, requiring pressure to force water through the pores of the carbon composite material and the microfiltration membrane. Therefore, the filter is microprocessor-controlled: it activates a micropump, which automatically increases and decreases pressure after the current cycle is complete. Filtration rate is up to 1 l/min. The pump is completely microbiologically safe.
