Filter Design and Operation
The system consists of two main modules: two filter media cylinders and a salt solvent reservoir. The cylinders (columns) are made of corrosion-resistant polymer composite material. The cylinders contain Ecomix®, a multi-component mixture.
Each component of the filter media is designed to neutralize and retain a specific type of harmful impurities. As a result, comprehensive water filtration is achieved in a single step. The purified water has excellent organoleptic properties and can be used for any household needs. It is completely safe for skin and hair and does not cause scale formation on the unit’s heating elements.
Regeneration
The filter media has a service life of 5 years. This is possible thanks to the regeneration properties of Ecomix®. Its operating characteristics are restored by rinsing it with a tablet salt solution. As with water purification, the filter material regeneration process is automatic.
The filter is controlled by a CE (Clack-Ecosoft) electromechanical valve. It offers several advantages over previous control valve models. These include a multilingual menu, non-volatile memory, and a multi-line LCD display with night-light function.

How the filter works
The filter is connected to the cold water supply line, effectively purifies water, and independently controls all its operating processes.
Water, pre-filtered to remove mechanical impurities, enters the filter housing, which is filled with Ecomix® filter material. This material consists of five components that sequentially trap iron, manganese, organic impurities, and hardness salts. Purified water is supplied to the consumer through the housing’s central pipe.
After the material’s lifespan is exhausted, a control valve switches one filter housing to regeneration mode and the other to operating mode.
Regeneration
Regeneration occurs using purified water and is carried out in five stages, which are precisely programmed and independently controlled by the valve.
The first stage is backflushing the system, which frees the filter material and removes mechanical impurities.
The brine solution is then pumped from the reservoir into the filter housing, passed through the ion-exchange resin, and washed out hardness salts. These salts, along with the remaining solution, are discharged into the sewer.
The next stage (3) is a short backwash, during which the filter material is again released and the remaining brine solution is washed out.
After regeneration is complete, the material is rinsed with a direct flow of water (stage 4).
The first stage is backwashing.
The final stage (5) is filling the brine tank with water to dissolve the salt tablets and prepare the solution for the next regeneration.
