How does the filter work?

Reverse osmosis technology is responsible for water quality, which removes harmful impurities to the maximum (up to 99.8%). And all this is due to the fact that the main element of such filters is a membrane that allows only water molecules to pass through, keeping all pollutants, viruses, bacteria. To ensure that the membrane lasts you as long as possible, the filter comes with pre-filter cartridges. The mechanical cartridge traps large particles (sand, rust), the granular activated carbon cartridge removes chlorine and its impurities from the water.

And for the natural taste of water, the last stage of purification is provided – a cartridge with coconut charcoal, thanks to which the water has a sweet taste.

Robust 1500ECO has become even more compact than the previous version, but at the same time it has become more productive.

Cartridge and membrane replacement

The kit includes clear instructions for installation and maintenance.

• Pre-treatment cartridges – If the pressure after the cartridges is less than 1 bar, this may mean that the pre-filter cartridge is dirty. Delay in replacing cartridges can damage or destroy the membrane. Precleaner cartridges must be changed after cleaning 8,000 liters of water, but not less often than once every 3-6 months. The resource depends on the consumption and quality of purified water.
• Membrane – Reverse osmosis membranes should be replaced if the filtration rate drops significantly. To obtain purified water of constant quality, we recommend replacing the reverse osmosis membranes after 24,000 liters of purification, but at least once a year.
• Post-filtration cartridge – If the taste of purified water deteriorates significantly, an unpleasant smell appears, it is recommended to replace the carbon post-filter. The post-filter must be changed after cleaning 8000 liters of water, but not less often than once every 3-6 months.

In case of long filter interruptions (more than 2 weeks), it is necessary to disinfect the filter (the procedure is described in detail in the passport).

Pump maintenance

The operation of the pump, like any other equipment, requires periodic maintenance. One such service is pump diaphragm replacement. It is recommended to replace the diaphragm after 2000 hours of pump operation.

Replacement frequency:

Operating time 12 hours/day (840-900 l/day) – once every 5-6 months
Operating time 8 hours/day (560-600 l/day) – once every 8-9 months
Operating time 4 hours/day (280-300 l/day) – once every 16-17 months
