ATLAS FILTRI HYDRA RAH 1¼” is a professional self-cleaning mechanical water filter designed for pre-filtration of incoming water and protection of the water-supply system against suspended mechanical contaminants.
The RAH filtration element incorporates a durable reusable stainless-steel mesh with a filtration rating of 90 μm. It captures sand, rust, pipe deposits and other solid particles present in the incoming water.
Effective mechanical pre-filtration is particularly important upstream of complete water-treatment systems. It helps protect control valves, water softeners, iron-removal filters, Ecomix systems and other treatment equipment from mechanical contamination.
One of the major advantages of the HYDRA system is its reusable filtration element. Unlike conventional cartridge filters, the element does not require frequent replacement.
Cleaning is performed using the integrated backwash system. When the drain valve located at the bottom of the filter is opened, the flushing process helps remove contaminants accumulated on the filtration mesh and discharge them through the drain connection.
Regular flushing helps maintain the hydraulic performance of the filter while reducing the need for disposable mechanical filter cartridges.
The 1¼” version is designed for installations requiring higher water flow. With a maximum flow rate of up to 8 m³/h, it is well suited to larger private houses and higher-capacity water-treatment installations where a smaller mechanical filter could create unnecessary hydraulic restriction.
HYDRA RAH can be used for mechanical pre-filtration of municipal water as well as water supplied from private wells or boreholes.
