ATLAS FILTRI HYDRA RAH 1″ is a versatile solution for mechanical pre-filtration of water in residential whole-house applications.
Installed at the main water inlet, the filter protects plumbing fixtures and downstream water-treatment equipment against suspended mechanical contaminants.
The RAH filtration element uses a reusable stainless-steel mesh with a 90 μm filtration rating.
It captures sand, rust, scale and other solid particles before they reach water softeners or other treatment equipment.
Unlike conventional cartridge filters, the HYDRA filtration element does not require frequent replacement.
Accumulated contaminants are removed using the integrated backwash system. Opening the drain valve initiates the flushing process, allowing collected particles to be discharged with the flushing water.
This makes HYDRA particularly suitable for well water and other applications where incoming water may contain variable quantities of suspended solids.
HYDRA RAH 1″ is an excellent mechanical protection stage upstream of water softeners, iron-removal filters, Ecomix systems, UV units and complete whole-house water-treatment systems.
Where regular manual flushing is undesirable, the process can be automated using the optional ATLAS K-MATIC valve.
