Why Robust?
The Ecosoft Robust range of reverse osmosis filters provides enough clean and safe water for all needs, from food and beverage preparation to delicious drinking water for guests and staff. The filter combines high-quality water purification technologies, modern design and compact dimensions.
Ecosoft Robust PRO is the right water for your cafe!
FOOD AND DRINK TASTERS, TECHNIQUES SERVE LONGER
- purified water does not contain chlorine, pesticides, heavy metals, organic compounds, viruses and bacteria
- with this filter performance, there is enough water for everyone
- no more scale, which means the machine will last a very long time
- you will also be able to use 50% less household chemicals and detergents.
Ecosoft Robust PRO is a unique offer for real professionals and coffee lovers. The filter is designed to meet world “coffee” standards and allows you to obtain water that perfectly reveals the unique taste of coffee.
With the Ecosoft RObust PRO filter, you can discover the individual taste of your grain thanks to optimal water mineralization:
- Calcium – will fill the body of the drink
- Magnesium – will help to obtain fruit acids
- Carbohydrates – will ensure the balance of taste and aroma
Cleaning steps:
- Initial filtration – removal of mechanical impurities, active chlorine, organochlorine compounds and natural organic substances
membrane cleaning (reverse osmosis element Ecosoft) – ensures 99.8% of dissolved impurities, as well as the removal of viruses and bacteria. - The special RObust PRO cartridge allows you to obtain water with a small content of magnesium and calcium, which improves the extraction of coffee taste and aroma components.
- To correct the taste and smell, the purified water is post-treated with activated Chemviron Carbon.
Reverse osmosis is the most advanced water purification technology. Thanks to a special semi-permeable membrane, it became possible to effectively purify drinking water from practically all harmful impurities, including bacteria and viruses. Such membrane pores are 200 times smaller than those of viruses and 4000 times smaller than those of bacteria.
A high-pressure pump simultaneously supplies water to the membrane and a special cartridge. The membrane provides highly efficient water purification at the molecular level. A special cartridge saturates the water with Ca and Mg, providing a rich coffee taste and aroma. As a result, the content of Ca and Mg, as well as other water quality indicators, meet the recommendations of the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association).
Cartridge and membrane replacement
The front panel of the RObust PRO has two pressure gauges, one showing the inlet water pressure after the pre-filter cartridges and the other showing the pressure behind the pump in the membrane unit. The panel provides recommended gauge pressures and troubleshooting tips if pressures are not as expected.
- Pre-treatment cartridges – If the pressure after the cartridges is less than 1 bar, this may mean that the pre-filter cartridge is dirty. Delay in replacing cartridges can damage or destroy the membrane. The pre-cleaner cartridges must be changed after cleaning 5000 liters of water, but not less than once every 3 months. The resource depends on the consumption and quality of purified water.
- Membrane – Reverse osmosis membranes should be replaced if the filtration rate drops significantly. To obtain purified water of constant quality, we recommend replacing the reverse osmosis membranes after 40,000 liters of purification, but at least once a year.
- Post-filtration cartridge – If the taste of purified water deteriorates significantly, an unpleasant smell appears in the water, it is recommended to replace the carbon post-filter. The post-filter must be changed after cleaning 5000 liters of water, but not less than once every 3 months.
In case of long interruptions in the operation of the filter (more than 2 weeks), it is necessary to disinfect the filter (the procedure is described in detail in the passport).
* In RObust PRO systems, all cartridges are replaced simultaneously, in a set.
Pump maintenance
The operation of the pump, like any other equipment, requires periodic maintenance. One such service is pump diaphragm replacement. It is recommended to replace the diaphragm after 2000 hours of pump operation.
Replacement frequency:
- Operating time 12 hours / day (840-900 l / day) – once every 5-6 months
- Operating time 8 hours/day (560-600 l/day) – once every 8-9 months
- Operating time 4 hours / day (280-300 l / day) – once every 16-17 months
